High tea with Stuart Maconie at MOSI

Stuart Maconie, co-host of the Radcliffe and Maconie Show on BBC Radio 2 and host of The Freak Zone on 6Music, will give a reading from his latest book, Adventures on the High Teas, and talk about the quirks and delights of his travels in the pursuit of Middle England ... via Manchester.

Maconie will be appearing at MOSI, Liverpool Road, Manchester, on Sunday 10 January at 3.00pm.

A best-selling travel writer and ‘Northerner in exile’, Stuart Maconie has journeyed around the UK collecting anecdotes, observations and divided opinion and will share them with the audience in his own inimitable style.

Steve Davies MBE, Director of MOSI, said: “As the world’s oldest surviving passenger railway station, MOSI is an apt host to Stuart Maconie’s verbal tour of the country, with more than a nod to the North.”

The event starts at 3.00pm on Sunday 10 January. Doors open at 2.30pm. Ticket prices £8 in advance, including cream tea*, available at www.ticketmaster.co.uk or call 0844 847 2261 (24 hours) or visit MOSI’s shop. Tickets are non-refundable.

*(Cream tea includes tea or coffee, and scone with jam and cream)
