Two more names join MOSI music debate

Two more names from the music industry have joined the panel for the Stephen Morris and Friends Manchester Music Debate at MOSI on November 27 at 7.30pm.

Peter Saville, co-founder of Factory Records and Creative Director of the City of Manchester and James Nice, author of Shadowplayers: The Rise and Fall of Factory Records are set to join the evening debate.

They will appear with former New Order and Joy Division drummer Stephen Morris and ex-Hacienda DJ Graeme Park to talk about the Manchester music scene past, present and future.

Also present will be founder of City Life and MD of SKV Communications, Andy Spinoza, and club entrepreneur Ross MacKenzie (owner of One Central Street, Purple Pussycat and Black Dog Ballroom). The audience will then be invited to ask questions, with Park compèring the debate.

Steve Davies, MBE Director of MOSI, said: “This is the first in a new series of events at the museum and it is fitting that the home of Rob Gretton's archive hosts this truly Mancunian debate.”

The debate starts at 7.30pm on Friday 27 November, doors and bar open 6.30pm. Ticket prices £5 in advance, £8 on the door, available at www.ticketmaster.co.uk or call 0844 847 2261 (24 hours). Tickets are non-refundable.
