Narrative view

This is the default view for items that have an associated narrative describing the item and its context.  In this view, you can click on the image to enlarge it or you can choose to look at the details view, which is described below.

Details view

This is the default view for items that do not have an associated narrative describing the item and its context.  It is always the default view for archive collections.  The details are presented as a table of the information contained in selected fields of the collections database.  For archive items, this screen also provides a link to related items, which are presented in the form of the 'family tree' of the parent collection, allowing you to see the extent of the collection and the relationships between individual items.
