Reproducing our multimedia
You are welcome to copy any images that appear on this website
for private study, other private use or formal educational use.
However, if you wish to publish one or more of our images, you need
to seek our permission by completing a Reproduction Application Form. In this
context, 'publish' covers any kind of public use, from publication
on another website or in a book to reproduction in an exhibition or
use in a public lecture.
The same
rules apply to other media, such as video or audio clips. Our
reproduction charges can be found in the Multimedia Supply and Reproduction Charges
sheet.
We discourage attempted commercial use of freely available multimedia by only providing multimedia in low-quality formats on this website. If you require higher-quality multimedia items for commercial or private use, you need to complete a Multimedia Supply Form. Our multimedia supply charges can also be found in the Multimedia Supply and Reproduction Charges sheet.
Our website currently provides just a taster of our
multimedia holdings. We welcome enquiries about other multimedia,
but please note that we can only supply copies in accordance with
British copyright law. If copyright (and/or publishing rights)
still applies, we can only supply copies of items for which we hold
the copyright or have a valid copyright licence. You can enquire by
using any of the contact options detailed on the Using the Collections page.
