Wasted? The Trouble with Rubbish

The Trouble with Rubbish

Our new free exhibition in the Station Building will enable your class to explore:

  • what happens to your rubbish once the bin men collect it
  • how a landfill site is much more than a hole in the ground
  • how Manchester dealt with its rubbish in the past
  • how we might tackle our trash in the future
  • what we can do to tackle the problem of waste in today's consumer culture

What a Load of Rubbish! Load of Rubbish

Join the Museum's Presenters for a 30-minute fun-packed show all about the rubbish we throw away. Find out where it all goes, and what we can do to make it less of a problem - and learn how to save some cash into the bargain!

Cost: £2.00 per child
Time: 11.00am and 1.30pm
Location: Making of Manchester Auditorium
Availability: Monday to Friday during term time
Advance booking is essential.
