Pictures and models of Castlefield from Roman times to the present day, replica items from a Roman soldier's kit and archaeological finds help us to build up a picture of life in Mamucium. A classroom-based taught session lasting one hour led by an Education Officer. Charge £3.00 per pupil. Maximum group size 30 pupils. (Minimum charge of £66.00 per group). Session available 17 Sept to 20 Oct 2007 and 14 Jan to 23 May 2008.

Meet a Roman Soldier

Give your pupils a taste of life in the Roman army. They won't get to see the world but a re-enactor authentically dressed as a Roman soldier from Roman Tours will give them a one-hour tour of the reconstructed Roman fort at Castlefield. Combine the tour with our classroom session for an additional charge of £45 per class. Maximum group size of 30 pupils.
