Different Landscapes
Residents from four homeless hostels worked with Museum staff and a professional film maker to create a series of short films inspired by objects, galleries and themes found at the museum. The films were displayed in the Collections Centre alongside some of the objects that inspired them from November 2006 to May 2007.
The films explore the Museum's collections in a different way, whilst linking them to the everyday experiences of the men involved. During the process the men developed film making skills, such as using the camera and editing. They also increased in confidence and developed their self-awareness and team-working skills.
You can download and watch the films and a documentary about the project on the right of this page.
The project was developed in partnership with the English Churches Housing Group.
