Museum of Science and Industry

All our Trustees and Board members are volunteers with specific accountabilities. MOSI is grateful for their support.

Trustees

MOSI's trustees are responsible for the governance of the Museum. The Trust Board has twelve members, four of which are appointed by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and eight by the MOSI Board.

As vacancies arise from time to time, we are always looking for potential trustees who can bring a diversity of skills to the governance arena. Time commitment is, on average 1-2 days per month.

Trading Board Directors

MOSI also operates a commercial Trading Board, supported by suitably-experienced external Non Executive Directors. Time commitment is, on average, 1 day bi-monthly.

Associate Board Members

In addition, we have opportunities for Associate Board Members. Associate roles are different from those of the main Trust Board in that they have no governance responsibilities. Associates are primarily senior people from a variety of sectors who are in a position to attract and give support to specific MOSI projects. We are, for example, currently seeking Associate Board members to assist with the fundraising effort for our capital development plans. Time commitments vary depending on the project focus.
