The Museum is a great place to work on improving English speaking skills. The collections on display are powerful and universal and work well with the ESOL curriculum.  

Even if you are not an ESOL student or teacher, the trails and guides may be interesting for your own tour of the Museum. You can find all of the resources below.

The Tutors' Guide to ESOL resources explains how to use the resources and includes activities for learners to carry out before, during and after a visit to the Museum. You can either download the whole pack as a .zip file or you can pick and choose from the individual resources.

The Museum has worked with the Family Language Tutors from the Family Literacy, Language and Numeracy Team and Manchester Adult Education Services in the development of these resources.
