KS1 History
We offer two KS1 history taught sessions and a range of resources for self-guided visits.
Taught sessions:
- cost £3.50 per pupil (Minimum group charge of £70.00*)
- are led by a Museum Education Officer
- last 1 hour
- include hands-on practical activities
- are closely linked to the National Curriculum
- can be booked for classes of up to 36 children (some exceptions)
(*There is no minimum group charge for special needs groups.)

Book a session for December and January and pay just the minimum group charge of £70.00 for your class.
Homes in the Past - Taught Session
What was home life like in the past?
Children will handle artefacts during this one hour taught session which offers an opportunity for hands-on investigation of household objects used by people in the past to wash, iron, clean, light and provide entertainment at home. Suitable Y1, Y2 & Y3.
Session available term time weekdays 1 Nov 2010 to 8 April 2011.

Electricity Gallery
Explore homes in the past in our Electricity Gallery which contains four room sets of 'ideal homes' from the 1930s and 1950s with a range of 20th Century domestic objects displayed in context.

Neil Armstrong: Mission to the Moon - Taught Session
Join us in our Planetarium for a one hour taught session to learn about Neil and how he became the first man to set foot on the Moon.
Includes a presentation on the stars of night sky and planets of the solar system. (Max. 30 including adults.) Suitable Y1 - Y3. Hi 5c, Sc4/3a.
Session available every weekday during school term time.
