Museum of Science and Industry

INSET and CPD

MOSI makes learning and teaching fun, with interactive sessions, shows, workshops and tours that fire the imagination and inspire children to want to find out more.

Based in the historic buildings of the world's oldest surviving passenger railway station, we offer a unique experience for you and your pupils across our seven-acre site.

Through action-packed galleries and working exhibits, the Museum tells the story of Manchester's scientific and industrial past, present and future.

The Learning Centre at MOSI offers the following opportunities for teachers and those in ITT who would like to learn about our programme for EYFS, Primary and Secondary schools:

  • An overview of the Museum's historic site and galleries
  • Ways to enhance science learning at the Museum
  • Tours of galleries or classrooms
  • Advice on using the Museum with school groups
  • Or even a chance to participate in one of our Learning Programmes!

Please contact the Learning Centre on 0161 833 0027 to discuss your requirements or to check cost and availability.
