Corporate Membership

With our diverse range of galleries and collections objects, MOSI is perfectly placed to forge links with companies who share Manchester's long industrial heritage. One such company is Renold plc, an international engineering group that produces a wide range of precision engineering products, principally industrial chains and related power transmission products. Their historic links with Manchester can be traced as far back as the 1870's.

The chain technology which Renold Plc still produces to this day is demonstrated in many collection objects in the Air & Space gallery, including the Avro Triplane and our range of vintage motorcycles. We were fortunate to welcome Renold Plc as a Corporate Member in 2010 and we workied closely with their staff over the year to highlight the company's heritage and products within the historical context of our gallery.

Work included a dedicated Renold trail around the Air & Space gallery with accompanying activity sheet. A specially created display of chain products will also be compiled by working closely with staff from Renold.

We are delighted to welcome back Renold Plc as a Corporate Member for 2011/2012.
