MOSI and Manchester Science Festival are proud to welcome on board the University of Salford as a sponsor of MSF 2011. The University is taking a truly hands-on approach to the Festival, delivering their own strand of exciting events in and around Salford as well as sending their scientists and engineers to inspire people at MOSI about technology. 

Events during MSF include: a hands-on communications exhibition at MOSI marking two important anniversaries: the 30th anniversary of the IBM office computer and the 50th anniversary of the end of dialling the operator to make calls in Manchester; a Human Performance in Sport event to see if you have what it takes to be an Olympic athlete; and Salford Scifest - a spectacular day of behind-the-scenes activities, tours and demos at the University.

Manchester is at the very heart of science in the UK and the Festival and the University offer a fantastic opportunity to talk to experts from across the region.
