MOSI has a regular programme of special events, which provide unusual and unique experiences and bring inspirational speakers and guests to a broad audience.  

MOSI is now offering event sponsorship packages for individuals and businesses, providing you with the opportunity to associate your brand with a particular event and with the Museum.

Stephen Morris & Friends

We were delighted to welcome former New Order and Joy Division drummer Stephen Morris to lead a debate about the Manchester music scene past, present and future.

Stephen was joined by founder of City Life and MD of SKV Communications, Andy Spinoza, club entrepreneur Ross MacKenzie (owner of One Central Street, Purple Pussycat and Black Dog Ballroom) and Peter Saville, Creative Director of Manchester and one of the founder directors of Factory Records.

Ex-Hacienda DJ Graeme Park acted as compère in a lively discussion about the Factory days and what the Manchester music scene might look like in years to come.

High Tea with Stuart Maconie

Stuart Maconie, writer and co-host of the Radcliffe and Maconie Show on BBC Radio 2 and host of The Freak Zone on 6Music, hosted afternoon tea and scones at MOSI on Sunday 10th January - entertaining guests with a reading from his latest book, Adventures on the High Teas and talking about the quirks of his travels in the pursuit of Middle England...via Manchester.
