Education and Learning

MOSI has a large and dedicated Learning department that engages over 100,000 school children through taught sessions, self guided visits, events, activities, presentations and workshops.  The team helps the Museum and its collections come alive, and increases understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of the Museum’s themes.  There is a wide range of activity that is suitable for sponsorship or charitable support: 

  • Experiment - young people’s interactive science gallery
  • Live interpretation and historical re-enactment displays  
  • Learning Space and Schools’ programme
  • Interpretation displays or interactive interpretation in any of the following areas of the Museum:

                        - The Making of Manchester Gallery
                        - Air & Space Gallery
                        - Power Hall
                        - Electricity Gallery
                        - Gas Gallery
                        - Textiles Gallery
                        - Warehouse for the World
                        - Manchester Communications Gallery
                        - Manchester Science Gallery
                        - Underground Manchester
