Special requirements
We want everyone to enjoy their experience at MOSI and are working to make access easy for all. If you have special requirements, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to help you.
We are always looking for ways to improve the service we provide our visitors, so please contact us if you have any comments or suggestions.
Physical access
A network of smooth paths link the five listed buildings on the Museum's historic site, to make access across the cobbles easier.
Wheelchair access is available to 98% of the Museum and we have a wheelchair loan service (£20 returnable deposit).
Accessible toilets are available in most of our buildings.
Assistance dogs are welcome at the Museum and water bowls are available on request.
Collapsible seats are available for loan (small deposit required).
Lifts are available in all multi-level buildings.
Access for visually impaired visitors
Handling sessions can be organised for partially sighted and blind visitors. Please contact us in advance on 0161 832 2244 to arrange a session.
Guide dogs are welcome and water bowls are available on request.
A guiding service is available for visitors with visual impairment, if booked in advance. Please contact the Learning Centre on 0161 833 0027.
Access for hearing impaired visitors
Hearing dogs are welcome and water bowls are available on request.
Induction loop facilities are available in various locations on site.
